We’re delighted you are interested in knowing more about life at Catalyst Vineyard Church. Our website is designed to give you an idea of who we are, and what we are all about. We look forward to meeting you soon.

With love,

Chuck and Taryn

The history of Catalyst Vineyard Church (formerly known as City Church Aberdeen) begins when two fellowships were started in the city in the 1980s. In 1993, those churches came together to form what is now Catalyst Vineyard Church. Today we number about 1100 people over our seven locations throughout Aberdeen City Centre and the Shire. We also have “planted” a number of other churches in the North East of Scotland and beyond.

We would say that we are an evangelical church (which means that we are part of the mainstream church in the UK), and that we are charismatic (which means that we believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today in the same way he was in Biblical times). We are in good relationships with the other churches in Aberdeen and are members of the Evangelical Alliance.

In September 2016 we joined the Vineyard family of churches. Vineyard Churches is a growing, movement of healthy churches with whom we have been deeply connected relationally for many years. There are over 1500 Vineyard churches in many nations around the world. We are very excited to now become officially part of the family.

More detailed information about day-to-day life in our church family including courses and events can be found by using the menu in the top right hand corner of this site or in our email notice sheet, which is sent to everyone who has filled out a “Count Me In Card”.

We’re a busy church that is seeking to make a difference in local communities across North East Scotland and beyond. We strongly encourage everyone to roll their sleeves up and get involved. There is something for everyone, so once you find something you like the look of, and want to find out more about, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to contact the church office or speak to your Site Pastor.
